Mammals

Mammals are warm-blooded vertebrates characterized by the presence of hair or fur, and females that produce milk to nourish their young. They have a highly developed brain, three middle ear bones, and typically give birth to live young. Mammals include a diverse group of animals such as humans, whales, elephants, and cats, and they play important roles in various ecosystems worldwide.

Bears

Bears are big, furry animals that live in forests, mountains, icy places, and even jungles around the world. They come in many different types, like the brown bear, polar bear, black bear, and even the panda. Some bears eat meat, some eat plants, and some (like pandas) mostly munch on bamboo!

Even though bears look slow and heavy, they are actually fast runners, good swimmers, and some can even climb trees. They are very smart and curious animals too.

Cats

Cats belong to a big animal family called Felidae. This family includes both the tiny cats we keep as pets and the giant wild cats like lions, tigers, and cheetahs. All cats are carnivores, which means they eat meat. They are amazing hunters, using their sharp teeth, claws, and sneaky movements to catch food.

Cats are found almost everywhere in the world, from hot jungles and tall mountains to grassy plains and even our homes! They are known for being graceful, strong, and very good at climbing,

Whales

Whales are the biggest animals on Earth! They live in the ocean and breathe air through a blowhole on top of their heads. Even though they look like giant fish, whales are actually mammals—just like us. That means they are warm-blooded, they have lungs, and mothers feed their babies milk.

Bovine

The Bovidae family is a big animal group that includes cows, bison, buffalo, goats, sheep, and antelopes. They are hoofed mammals that usually live in herds. Bovids are found all over the world, from farms to wild grasslands, mountains, and deserts.

Apes

Apes are smart, strong animals that belong to the primate family—the same big family that humans are part of! There are two main types of apes: great apes (like gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans, bonobos, and humans) and lesser apes (like gibbons). Apes don’t have tails like monkeys do. They are known for their intelligence, expressions, and the way they use their hands to grab, climb, and even use tools! They live mostly in Africa and Asia, in forests, jungles, and mountains.

Rabbits

Rabbits are small, furry animals with long ears, short fluffy tails, and strong back legs that help them hop and run fast. They live in many parts of the world—in fields, forests, and even as pets in people’s homes! Rabbits are herbivores, which means they eat only plants. They love to nibble on grass, carrots, lettuce, and clover. Wild rabbits usually live in groups and make tunnels underground called burrows to stay safe from predators.
